SANGGUNIANG BAYAN MEMBER ENG’R. ALLAN MAQUILAN CALALAS
Born on April 16, 1963, he entered politics on the year 2016 and became a member of the 19th Council of the Sangguniang Bayan of Compostela. A civil engineer by profession, he chaired the Committee on Public Works and Infrastructure as well as the Committee on Planning and Zoning where he was instrumental in the passage of landmark legislation: “Formulation of the Comprehensive Drainage System and Flood Control Master Plan in the Municipality of Compostela, Davao de Oro”.
He became one of the prolific and productive members of the legislative department introducing several measures during his first term in the Council. Also a boxing enthusiast, he continues to discover “elite boxing athletes” in the Municipality and giving exposure for amateur boxers to fight in the different boxing rings in the country. For the 20th Sanggunian, he authored several legislative measures: Regulation of road allowances and road right of ways in the Municipality, the Zoning Ordinance, among others.
