When a door is open, the room is meant to be shared.
It begun through ecumenical prayers.
The opening ceremony of the 69th Araw ng Compostela and 11th Buganihan Festival was not just a programme to formally opened up all the activities and programs, the event was also the venue of expressing thanksgiving and recognition of exemplary performance of individuals, businesses, LGU offices and institutions, which contributed much to the coffers of the local goverment and to economic lives of the town and its people.
Attended by municipal and barangay officials, led by the Mayor Lema P. Bolo herself, along with personalities from the private sectors, local government employees, personnel of national government agencies, teachers and students from different schools, the atmosphere in the venue was festive and moving.
In addition to recognition, the beneficiaries of Small Livelihood Program (SLP) of the DSWD from the barangays ceremonially received their checks as stat-up capital of their chosen business.
The ceremony ended by sharing nature's bountiful harvest, fruits to be exact, by the student performers to the people attending.
The festiveness of the affair was, without doubt, another way of expressing "Compostela Love Ko...Padayon sa Paglambo".
