Self Love Awareness. Self-love awareness advocacy strives to inspire individuals to embrace their worth, practice self-compassion, and prioritize their mental and emotional well-being, fostering a culture of empowerment and personal growth.
Sustainable Livelihood: Creating Job Opportunities
With the decline and failure of many agribusinesses, specifically the banana industry in our municipality, and with the intensification of the anti-illegal logging, timber poaching, and small-scale mining laws, many lost their source of income. This advocacy seeks to create meaningful opportunities that could transform not just the life of every Compostelaños but the society and economy as well.
This also aims to provide a sustainable livelihood for Compostelaños through various innovative initiatives using our produce that could sustain their needs, alleviating their state of living.
Disaster Preparedness. This aims to strengthen community-based disaster preparedness through educating, preparing, and supporting Compostelaños to reduce risks and prepare their response mechanisms to address disaster emergencies. Disseminate information and put up with action by helping our communities to be resilient to disasters.
Reducing teenage pregnancy rates through sex education is her advocacy. It will be the key to addressing the issues of teenage pregnancy where it encourages young people to be educated about sexuality and sex, to help them make an informed choice that is aligned with their values, and take a step to avoid the association with sexual activity.
Inspiring and encouraging young Compostaleños to promote change and betterment of our community, to provide opportunities, and develop new social networks. To recreate the Bayanihan through hand-in-hand efforts and the presence of unity among the youth. The energy of the youth has many causes. Youth are fresh and innovative to share for the advancement of our respective communities.
Valuing Education: A Literacy and Numeracy Program. Strengthening the literacy and numeracy skills of Compostelaños. It aims to lessen and eradicate the low proficiency level of children and adults in Compostela.
Mental health awareness may have already been addressed, but regardless of how many times we attempt to eradicate it, as long as people continue to be invalidated for how they feel, Cristine will continue to empower and embolden others.
This campaign is an important initiative to improve understanding of mental health conditions and increase access to healthcare for those who need it. Achieving this through partnering with the LGU of Compostela to launch the project “PAGLAUM” to provide free counseling to the people of Compostela.
Clean and Green Modern Environmental Advocacy. This is for the protection and preservation of our cultural traditions and our beliefs, natural resources, and ancestral domain through educating and encouraging all Compostelaños to actively participate in clean-up drives and tree-planting activities.
Project ARUGA is what she advocates. This aims to advance the reach of healthcare information. It encompasses a comprehensive approach to ensuring that every Compostelaños, including those in the remote areas, are well-aware of the importance of healthcare and the accessible services we have and strives to empower individuals in remote areas for a sound body and sound mind.
Child Neglect Prevention: addressing risk and provide preventive factors for the benefit of future generations in the Municipality of Compostela to a life out of deprivation.
She advocates Support System for Orphans: encourage the people of Compostela to give tremendous support to the orphans and to assist them to overcome poverty and as well as build a program to provide for their necessities. It also promotes consideration for foster care for orphans.
Environmental Advocacy: An Action Strategy for Dealing with Environmental Problems pledges to enhance public awareness of today’s critically important environmental issues, and educate people to make conscious eco-friendly decisions and lifestyle choices.
GREENOVATION is what she advocates. This is leading the charge for environmental sustainability, creating a Compostela where agriculture and mining coexist harmoniously, where nature thrives, humanity prospers, and future generations inherit a municipality they can call home.
She advocates youth volunteerism: Encouraging young Compotelaños to voluntarily offer their time and abilities to societal concerns without expecting anything in return.
It promotes social change, builds empathy and skills, and addresses community needs. Volunteering allows adolescents to develop themselves, interact with others, and have a positive impact on their communities.
Advocating Peace- Promoting EO no.70 National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict. Executive Order (EO 70) is a government policy for the attainment of inclusive and sustainable peace that prioritize and harmonize the delivery of basic services and social development packages in conflict-affected areas and vulnerable communities.
This strengthens the local government as well as spreading awareness of this program. Maintain peace and order; create stability for the government and secure the property of the people of Compostela.

Binibining Compostela 2023 candidates joined a tree-planting activity earlier today at Barangay San Miguel, Compostela, Davao de Oro.

Together with Hon. Levi S. Ebdao, the Chairperson of Bb. Compostela, and Mr. Alvic E. Luzano, the Co-Chair and the Executive Producer of BBC, and the rest of the team, we thank the Office of the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources through Engr. Jessy R. Marron, his staff for joining us in this cause. A worthwhile activity indeed!

A SUPER PRODUCTIVE WEEKEND FOR OUR BINIBINIS

Motivated and everyone is in the right set to learn many things! The Binibining Compostela Official Candidates have enjoyed the Beauty Boot Camp with our 2016 Binibining Compostela Sarjory Duetes Guday, with Davao del Norte’s Pageant Communication Coach Sir Matt Astaca-an, and the 2002 Bb. Compostela 1st Runner Up Ma’am Rose Leonor-Alecida. Imparting essential lessons to every single one of our Binibinis as they prepare for the most awaited night in their life- the Grand Coronation Night on July 31, 2023.

Together with our Local Chief Executive and the Bb. Compostela Chairperson Hon. Levi S. Ebdao, with the Co-Chair and the Executive Producer Mr. Alvic E. Luzano and the rest of the team, we thank you all for sharing your time and expertise with our queens.

DESCENDANTS OF MARIA CACAO: ENCHANTING ON THE BIG STAGE.

The story of Maria Cacao is quite popular in Compostela, its nearby towns, and even other parts of Visayas. It represents the folk notion of spirits, or more broadly speaking, the ambiguous existence of the unknown world.

The legend shows that through her supernatural powers, she tends to take the form of a fertility goddess. She inhabits the mountains, rivers, and caves of Compostela. Far from other local versions depicting her qualities of being the soul-harvester, Maria Cacao on the other hand is said to be causing Compostela to flood navigating the Agusan River with her golden ship, but these flood waters carry nutrients and sediments, that when deposited in the plains, can enhance soil fertility resulting the celebration of the town people, a celebration of bounty and prosperity.

Her story has been handed down from generation to generation. She is a woman, a legend that lives in the imagination of the past, a mystery of the present, and a wonder for the future.

She is the descendant of the mysterious and mighty Maria Cacao- a woman of substance, an epitome of goodwill, and a steward of positive change. A woman who is beyond ordinary, she is Binibini Honey Crislee.
