Due to 5.1 magnitude earthquake na nahitabo. Classes in all levels (Elementary, Secondary, and College) both public and private are hereby adviced to suspend face-to-face classes and implement blended learning modalities.

All school personnel should conduct initial damage assessment and report to MDRRMO.

UPDATE, as of 9:23AM

Governor Dorothy Montejo-Gonzaga suspends starting today, October 20, classes in all levels both in private and public schools after the magnitude 5.9 earthquake at 2:58AM earlier with epicenter in New Bataan town.

Work in government offices is not suspended.

March 20, 2023 – Back to Face to Face Classes

Last Friday, adunay gipahitabong meeting sa Municipyo kauban ang School heads, School DRRs, Engineering, ug MDRR department.

Sa maong meeting, atong gipaabot na mas maayo gyud na mabalik na ang face to face kay para mas epektibo ang pagtudlo ug pagtuon sa mga bata.

Pero,

1. Ang mga naka tag ug YELLOW ug RED under DRR coding nato. OFF LIMITS o DILI gyud pwedeng klasehan.

2. Para pud na mahinay hinay sag kawala ang kahadlok ug trauma sa teachers, students, ug parents, ang 3RD ug 4TH FLOOR sa tanang schools dili usa nato ipa occupy.

3. Sa mga students concerned na di pa ipa occupy ilang rooms, please follow the arrangement/scheme na ihatag sa atong DepEd.

March 13, 2023

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan, through a special session on March 11, 2023, passed and approved Resolution No. 0556-2023, placing the entire province of Davao de Oro under a state of calamity. This was due to the extensive damage from the series of earthquakes that struck last March 7, 2023.

Based on the latest situational report of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), a total of 194,057 households or 229, 647 families were affected, and a total cost of infrastructure damages in the province now reaching to PHP265-million.

March 12, 2023

Following the recommendation of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), after conducting a Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) in the Schools in the Municipality, Mayor Levi S. Ebdao issued an order to lift the suspension of WORK and CLASSES in all levels (both Private and Public Schools) starting tomorrow, March 13, 2023 (until further notice).

However, NO FACE TO FACE CLASSES will be allowed to take place in schools, due to the continuing aftershocks or earthquakes.

Schools are encouraged to hold only modular or online classes to ensure the safety of students while continuing their studies.


CLASSES and WORK will remain suspended tomorrow, March 10, 2023, for both Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff, both for PUBLIC and PRIVATE SCHOOLS.


𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 – March 8, 2023

Lifting of the Suspension of Work is hereby issued. Pursuant to the recommendation of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), the Suspension of Work in the Offices of the Local Government Unit of Compostela is hereby LIFTED.

Please be guided that WORK in the Local Government Unit of Compostela shall RESUME tomorrow, March 9, 2023 (Thursday).

However, Work and Classes in both PRIVATE and PUBLIC SCHOOLS in all levels are still SUSPENDED until further notice.

March 6, 2023 Municipal Update!

Due to consecutive Earthquakes that our province experienced, As per recommendations, the Local Chief Executive of the Municipality of Compostela Mayor Levi S. Ebdao announces, the 𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦 on all levels (PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS).

The suspension will be lifted until further notice

Mayor Levi S. Ebdao also instructed all SDRRMs and BDRRMs to inspect buildings and other infrastructures and report to MDRRM Office. Also, Engineering, BFP, and MDRRMO are hereby instructed to conduct inspections on all buildings here in Compostela.


March 6, 2023 Province Update

Class suspension in all levels both public and private schools in the province due to the earthquake experienced earlier in the province.

Ginapahimangnoan ang tanang Local Government Units na e check ang mga schools buildings and government structures aron masiguro ang status sa mga gitay-ug para sa seguridad sa tanang katawhan sa Davao de Oro.
